IFPI, de belangenorganisatie voor platenmaatschappijen wereldwijd, heeft bad guy van Billie Eilish benoemd tot grootste single van 2019 wereldwijd.

bad guy is de 5e single van Eilish’s debuutalbum genaamd WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? en is tegelijkertijd gereleased op 29 maart 2019. bad guy werd Spotify’s op-een-na meest gestreamde nummer wereldwijd in 2019, alsmede het meest gezochte nummer op Shazam.

Frances Moore, chief executive van IFPI, zei: “Billie Eilish has taken the world by storm with her incredible voice and genre-defying sound. She is also an artist who addresses important issues like mental health in her lyrics that clearly resonate with her fans all over the world. We wish her success for what will no doubt be another standout year.”
